Hiatus Over

I’ve been making a few more decisions about the future of this blog, as well as other directions I want to explore, and I wasn’t sure about how to integrate this blog into the overall scheme.

But I think I’ve got it sorted.  Again.

You see, I have a number of interests, that are all fruits off the same tree.  So I’ve been prioritising and trying to fit them all into a cohesive and do-able model.

So my decision is that “Big Sister Coaching” will be my brand.  And under this brand, we (“Big Sister Coaching” and I) will deliver a number of programs.

One of the programs that I’ve been working on builds on my longstanding passion of how places affect and influence people.  My “Success Environments” will teach people how to modify their homes, workplaces and internal environments to help them get in the flow that takes them more easily to their goal.

As an extension of this, I’m also developing a “Life Design for Success and Happiness” course that will explore different facets of life, and the conscious choices you can make that put you more in tune with the flow of energy.  And when you’re in the flow of energy, there is less struggle, less drama, more joy, more self-confidence.

I’ve also been reflecting on a number of issues that I’ve seen friends and colleagues struggling with, so I’ll be writing on that in the context of my brand in the next few posts.

So I’ve been busy plotting, planning, scheming and dreaming.  I feel a renewed vigor and excitement about this blog, and that I can offer something truly unique and empowering for my readers.

I also plan to use the social media a bit more in order to reach out to more people to make them aware of the (I think) exciting stuff that I’m offering.  And I plan to put more of an effort into encouraging a bit of interaction on this blog.

Something else I’ve done on my break from this blog is to focus on my health and fitness,  which you can read about on another blog I’ve started – Chrysalis Emerging.

So it’s NOT that I’ve been idle and abandoned my coaching and writing.  On the contrary, I’ve been busy planning, researching and learning how to offer you even better stuff more often.

Coming Out Of The Closet

Big Breath…  I’m so scared you’ll all hate me and think I’m a fraud.  But I have to say it because I really value authenticity and if I’m going to inspire you and excite your imagination, then I just have to be truthful with you.  Even if some of you hate me.

Oh well, here goes.  I have a day job.  There, I’ve said it.  It may sound like a bit of a let down; maybe you were expecting something far more titilating.

You want to know what I do?   I drive taxis.  It’s something I do while this stuff that I’m working on falls into place.

I drive taxis because I actually like it.  It sure beats working in an office rampant with small politics.   I love talking with a whole variety of people. And I even get to do some very focused coaching once in a while.

I enjoy driving taxis because my creative energy is not compromised – I can plot and plan, and scheme and dream to my heart’s content.  I don’t have to figure out how to sell more of the boss’s stuff, and compromise my creativity to solve his problems.

Also, I drive in a very pretty tropical city, and I only drive a few days a week – no nights.  Being interested in public spaces and private homes makes this an ideal little job because I see so many cool things, and I get to go into all kinds of out of the way places that you wouldn’t usually see unless you were invited there.

But it means there are some quite long shifts and early starts, and yeah, sometimes it saps my energy from being here more often, especially when I have a number of other things to attend to as well (called husband, LOL)
