Like many people working in the personal development field, I’ve noticed it takes a while to find your voice. It takes a while to decide where to take your wealth of knowledge and experience because often its very nebulous and covers many areas.
I was lucky – I have a business coach who keeps at me to refine my position. I went from being a Romance Coach to being an “Emotional Pain Recovery Specialist” and now I’m settling on working with people who want to have a passion-based online business but can’t – for some reason or another – seem to get it off the ground, despite doing numerous online marketing courses. Some ideas need evolving or ripening, which can’t seem to happen until you plant something outside of yourself.
I have my ideas of why many good people can’t seem to get their passion-based online career up and running, and I want to do something to help change that.
I believe that many online presenters just have no idea about adult education principles – especially about whole-brain learning. And I think another important missing element is a bit of “hand-holding” while going through some of the basic technical elements of getting your business out there into cyberspace. And I’m not talking forums here but connecting with a real person who you can bounce ideas and problems off in real time.
And also a bit of hand-holding to help people sort out their actual niche – regardless of keywords and seo’s. Increasingly, the message about site popularity is to simply have great content, rather than get stuck on the mechanics of search engine optimisation.
Now, over to you:
What would YOU like to see on this site, aimed at helping to get your passion-based online career off the ground and earning enough so that you are free to do what you really want to do?
What are YOUR ideas about why most online marketing courses haven’t helped you to achieve your goals?
I’d love to hear from you.

I want to issue a public apology to Nick Owen, whose amazing image called “Sky Boy” I originally used for this post. Apparently I didn’t take enough care when searching through Flickr for a creative commons license image, and breached his copyright. For this, I offer my deepest apology. I know I would be upset if someone just used my own copyrighted works, with just the vaguest acknowledgment.
I have changed the image, but if you want to see the original amazing image, this link is will take you back to the Flickr source.
Apparently Nick also does life coaching, and in the spirit of maintaining harmony and good will, here is a link to Nick’s website.
